FROM THE PASTOR
Welcome to Holy Family Academy!
When I arrived in Providenciales in July 1999 I found a congregation of only 80 persons gathered for Sunday mass. After several years of mission, today we see some 1,000 parishioners and visitors over any given weekend. The growth of our parish community led us in 2005 to extend the Church from 70 seats to 190. Today we are in the process of building our new Church since more people gather outside for mass than we are able to seat within the Church.
Along with the increase in mass attendance, we have also seen a growth in the sensitivity of our parishioners towards the needs of the Islands. One such outreach is Holy Family Academy, which enrols children ages Pre-K to Grade 7 and offers them a high level of Catholic education that develops them into students with the necessary academic skills and experiences they need to face a new world with ever new challenges and rewards.
I give thanks to Almighty God for his blessings and for the immense generosity that He has endowed upon the members of our Catholic Mission Faith Community, and I ask His blessings upon all who minister at Holy Family Academy, dedicated to the education of young girls and boys, to the progress of the sciences and to learning. I am grateful to our school Principal, teachers, students and their parents (“Teachers at Home!”), as well as to all persons with any sort of responsibility for the school.
